What we keep, and why

  • The waiting list: your email, the code of the link that brought you (for example “tiktok”), the language of the page, the wave you’re waiting for and the date we let you know. It’s used for one thing only: emailing you when your wave opens. Your consent, given when you sign up, is what allows us to.
  • Your PAKT account: your email, to send you your sign-in code, your first name, your duo, your cards, your games and your crew’s XP, the date you installed the app and the link you came through. It’s used to run the game you play.
  • News: only if you say yes in the app, we keep the date of your consent so we can write to you now and then. You can take it back whenever you want.
  • Visit numbers: anonymous, to see what works on the page. The details are below, in “Cookies and audience measurement”.

We don’t sell your data, we don’t rent it out, and there are no targeted ads.

Where your data is

  • The database is at Supabase, in Paris, in the European Union.
  • Emails go out through Resend, from Ireland, in the European Union.
  • The site is served by Vercel.
  • If you agree, detailed measurement goes through PostHog, in Frankfurt, in the European Union.

Vercel, Resend and PostHog are American companies. When data passes through the United States, it does so with the safeguards the GDPR provides for (the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses).

How long

  • The waiting list: until your wave opens. If you don’t create an account, your email is deleted within the following six months.
  • Your account: as long as you use it. Write to us and we delete it, along with everything attached to it.
  • Visit numbers: 13 months.
  • At PostHog, if you agreed: one year at most.

Cookies and audience measurement

For everyone, without cookies: we count visits to the home page. For each visit, we note where it comes from (the site or app it came from, the campaign link, your link’s code), the type of device, the language, the time zone, and the steps taken (mission played, pack opened, sign-up). Nothing is stored on your phone, your IP address isn’t kept, and nothing follows you from one site to the next: there’s no way to tell who you are. These numbers stay at Supabase, in Paris. This measurement doesn’t need your consent (under the rules of the CNIL, France’s data protection authority), but you can opt out:

Only with your consent: PostHog, a measurement tool hosted in Frankfurt, records your clicks, your scrolling and a replay of your visit, never what you type, so we can see where the page gets stuck. It keeps an identifier on your device for as long as you agree. Your choice is kept for six months, and you can change it here whenever you want:

If you switch the page’s language, your browser remembers that choice, and nothing else.

There are no advertising cookies. The app only keeps what it needs to keep you signed in.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or object to its use: write to contact@pakt.live, and we’ll answer within a month. If you’re not satisfied, you can file a complaint with the CNIL at cnil.fr.
